Import a KML file into ForeFlight

Quick tutorial to add generated areas into your ForeFlight app.

Steps

  1. Generate or retrieve your .kml file from the KML tool.
  2. On iPhone/iPad, open the app that contains your file.
  3. Tap the KML file, then choose Share or Open with another app.
  4. Select ForeFlight.
  5. In ForeFlight, confirm the import in Custom Content.
  6. Then in the Map tab, click the Layers function (top-left).
  7. Enable the imported item from the right column (bottom), and it should appear on the map.
